We strive to provide a unique learning experience in a “live” clinical setting, to create an authentic experience that closely mimics actual clinical practice. NYSORA RA BOOT camp is a deep dive immersion in the actual practice of nerve blocks and regional anesthesia for medical professionals who are committed to taking their practice skills to the next level in an instant. Prepare to get involved and lace up your running shoes as you join the NYSORA team in a real clinical environment to learn skills, and copy protocols you can take and implement in your practice immediately. Based on our 5-step approach to ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, each boot camp offers a real-life experience, with clinical instruction by NYSORA’s expert team.

This boot camp focuses on personalized training for each participant within small groups, with top-pros right by your side! You can expect to see between 15-40 procedures/per day. In addition, your participation will support our research and education programs.

DAY 1
- 7:30 -
- Meet in the main lobby of Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL) with one of the NYSORA team
- Upon arrival, please use the visitor parking lot and enter the hospital’s main entrance through the revolving glass doors to the main lobby
- 7:35 - 7:45
- Changing in the dressing room into surgical scrubs, hats and masks
- 7:45 - 8:00
- Staff meeting and planning for the day at the Orthopedic Anesthesia Operating Room Wing (N-Block)
- 8:00 - 15:00
- Patient care, performance of ultrasound guided regional anesthesia procedures, scanning on patients and models, phantom practice in between patient care, discussions on protocoled patient care, participation in the intraoperative and perioperative management, performance of ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blocks in patients. Each nerve block procedure will be followed by discussion of principles of safe and successful practice

NYSORA’s is complimentary to the organized societies and does not have membership-fees or website access-fees. Likewise, NYSORA’s research mission is internally funded. Therefore, the registrations fees for our programs are the most important source of funding for our full time team of CME organizers, webmasters, artists and designers.
The organizers will not be liable for any personal accident caused to any person, or loss or damage to any equipment, goods or property belonging to participants. Participants are strongly advised to take out their own travel and health insurance.
