New addition: Rectus sheath block!

This month’s addition to the NYSORA LMS is the rectus sheath block. A blockade that is commonly used in the pediatric population for umbilical hernia repair and has important advantages for postoperative pain control when used in patients who require laparotomy for various indications. In this new section, we include information that you must know regarding the anatomy, sensory distribution, how to perform the technique, and how to choose the local anesthetic.
