Not every App collects every type of information described below — an App only collects what it needs to work.
By using our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. We use personal information only to provide and improve the Apps, and we do not sell it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If an App requires an account, we collect your email address. Where you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive the email address associated with that account, and in some Apps we store it only as an anonymised hash, which cannot be reversed back into your email. If you contact support, we keep your message. If an App lets you save notes, favourites, progress or quiz results, we store that content so it is there when you return.
Information collected automatically. When you use an App we collect technical and log data through third-party tools. This may include your device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, the time and date of use, crash reports, and which features you used. This helps us fix bugs and understand what to improve.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google. We never receive or store your payment card details. We receive the transaction status — what was purchased, when it renews, whether it was cancelled or refunded — so we can unlock your access.
Clinical information you enter. Some Apps let you enter or save clinical parameters, cases, or study data. This is collected only if you enter it, is used only to provide the feature you are using, and is never used for advertising or shared for marketing. Do not enter information that identifies a patient — our Apps are educational tools and are not intended to store patient records.
How we use information
To provide the Apps and their features, to manage your account and subscription, to answer support requests, to fix crashes and improve the Apps, and to send you service messages. We send marketing emails and promotional notifications only if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
Third-party services
We use third-party services to run the Apps. These include Apple and Google (distribution, sign-in, payments), [analytics and crash reporting provider], [subscription management provider], [email provider], and [hosting provider]. They may only use the information to perform tasks on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
Privacy policies of the platform providers:
- Google Play Services
- Apple Customer Privacy Policy
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share information only with the service providers above, where required by law, and in the event that our business is transferred to another owner.
Storage, transfers and retention
We are based in the United States and your data is stored on servers located in [REGION]. If you use our Apps from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards. We keep account data until you delete your account, crash and usage data for up to [14] months, and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest and limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping your device and your store account secure is your responsibility.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent you have given. If you are a California resident, you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither — and we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR. We handle all requests the same way regardless of where you live.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account. We reply within 30 days.
Children
Our Apps are professional and educational tools intended for healthcare professionals, veterinary professionals and students in those fields, aged 18 and over. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and any changes take effect when posted. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the App or by email.
