EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, often referred to as the Athens of the North, and as such, is one of the inspiring locations chosen for NYSORA’s CME Retreat Anesthesia Conferences. Its Old Town – listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site, is a bustling area full of centuries-old buildings and narrow alleys. At its heart, perched on an extinct volcano is Edinburgh Castle, one of the oldest fortified places in Europe, with a long rich history as a royal residence, military garrison, prison and fortress. Orderly Georgian terraces line the streets of the New Town, and at the southernmost tip you find Princes Street, a shoppers paradise, packed with iconic stores and eateries, and the Princes Street Gardens.
Scotland is known for very good reasons as the Home of Golf. The first-ever records of the sport date back to 15th-century Scotland. Edinburgh and the surrounding areas are rich with great courses. Avid golfers from all parts of the globe gravitate to this bonnie land to enjoy the famous courses played upon by some of golf’s greatest heroes
Castles, Trams, Whiskey and Golf merge together in Edinburgh to deliver a memorable experience for all who pay it a visit.
