Our Faculty

Peter Merjavy, MD

Peter Merjavy is an EDRA Part 2 Vice-Chair at the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy and, Consultant Anaesthetist at Craigavon Area Hospital, Southern HSC Trust. Peter completed the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia in 2008 and was awarded his PhD in 2011. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia for the MSc in Regional Anaesthesia and an examiner for the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia.

M. Kwesi Kwofie, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Kwofie is currently Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. He is the past chair of the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Section of the Canadian Anesthesiologist’s Society and the current Associate Editor for Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia for ASRA Pain Medicine News. He has published many peer-reviewed articles, given over 100 lectures and workshops all over the world on his many interests, which include ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blockade, mechanisms of peripheral nerve injury, acute pain management, POCUS and regional anesthesia education.
