December 23, 2020
COVID-19 Patient was successfully prepared for surgery. In this video, Prof. Hadzic presents another clinical case; a 72-year old with displaced wrist fracture that is COVID-19 positive and has a high viral load. Take a look at how the patient is prepared for surgery, how the axillary plexus block for anaesthesia is administered, and finally what the post-op plan is. The goal of the procedure is to avoid general anaesthesia, bypass the recovery room, and therefore minimize the staff members’ exposure to the virus.
