Dr. Kwofie is currently Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. He is the past chair of the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Section of the Canadian Anesthesiologist’s Society and the current Associate Editor for Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia for ASRA Pain Medicine News. He has published many peer-reviewed articles, given over 100 lectures and workshops all over the world on his many interests, which include ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blockade, mechanisms of peripheral nerve injury, acute pain management, POCUS and regional anesthesia education.
Peter Merjavy is Consultant Anaesthetist & Acute Pain Lead at Craigavon Area University Teaching Hospital in Northern Ireland, UK. Peter has completed the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia (EDRA) in 2008 and his PhD in 2011. He is an EDRA Examiner and Vice Chair for EDRA Part 2 exam at European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA). He is an Honorary Assistant Professor for MSc in Regional Anaesthesia (Applied Anatomy for RA Module) at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK and ESRA Chair for RA Cadaveric Workshops. He is immediate past president of Northern Irish Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Editor of ESRA Newsletter. Peter has given numerous lectures and workshops all across Europe, Asia and Middle East. His main interests include applied anatomy for regional anaesthesia, acute pain management, trauma and orthopaedic anaesthesia, anatomical variations and education in RA.
