PERIPHERAL NERVE
BLOCKS/CATHETERS - (con't)
TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT
Premedicate with sustained release oxycodone.
PRE-OP: Lumbar plexus block, Ropivacaine 0.25-0.5% 30cc (with or without
adjuvant)
INTRA-OP: Spinal with heavy sedation/GETA
POST-OP: The lumbar plexus catheter issued with either continuous infusion of
ropivacaine with demand dose or with only a patient controlled demand dose.
