Hospital’s Acute Pain Service.
THORACIC EPIDURAL: Young
adult/healthy
Bupivacaine 0.1% with Hydromorphone PF 10 micrograms/cc in preservative free
normal saline 200cc
Basal rate: BELOW T6 7cc/hr
ABOVE T6 5cc/hr
Demand: BELOW T6 2cc
ABOVE T6 1cc
Lockout: 20 minutes
One hour limit—calculate to maximum dosage
