William F. Urmey, M.D. graduated from Harvard Medical School where he subsequently did his anesthesia residency and a regional fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. An Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and an Associate Scientist at Hospital for Special Surgery, Weill Cornell Medical College, he has lectured and published extensively in many areas of regional anesthesia. Dr. Urmey has a long-standing interest in the science and physiology of peripheral nerve stimulation. He was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Techniques in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management and is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia. |
