Hoping you can enlighten me.
I have had bilateral TKR on 21st April. That is now 6 weeks and I am barely walking. Can only move with a frame, have had nasty falls, requiring ambulance assistance.I am becoming very despondent. My surgeon says the op is successful, but it appears that there is some injury/damage/insult to my femoral nerve. This results in my not being able to control, or move my muscles in that leg.The medical team keep telling me to be patient, it will return. But I do not have a lot of confidence in this, as there is no improvement since day 1.
If there is damage in my nerve, what are the possible outcomes? What can I be doing to assist the repair?
I am terrified this is permanent, but I have been assured it will not be.
Is there a possibility this could be so?
I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
many thanks
